Sure enough Gary Payne posted his PowerPoint slides for the lesson, "Can I Believe in the Resurrection?", with the focal verses: 1 Corinthians 15:1-6, 12-18, 50-52, 54b-57.
Co-teacher Randy Stewart also posted his slides.

This is one of the most neglected topics in Baptist teaching--the resurrection of believers. We have come to believe in life after death as a disembodied spirit forever living with God in heaven. Both teachers, especially Payne, did a very good job of relating not only the resurrection of Jesus but that this is the firstfruits of a greater resurrection of the believers.
The ETB literature tells a very incomplete story of the 15th chapter of 1 Corinthians. It focuses on the importance of the resurrection of Christ, no doubt THE critical doctrine of the church, but don't 99.99% of us believe that? (or else why would we be in the Sunday school class in the first place?)
Lifeway further skips similar supporting content in 2 Corinthians 5 in the lesson in 2 weeks. The lessons aren't wrong, just incomplete, and this lack of teaching on the bodily resurrection has been neglected in Southern Baptist circles for too long. As a 30 year plus believer in Christ, I have never in a Southern Baptist church heard a lesson or sermon on the bodily resurrection of believers.

Robert, the hope of a bodily resurrection is critical. See my previous post "Resurrection Hope". To refresh my memory, I like to read Rom 8:11,23; Phil 3:21; 2 Cor 5:2.
