Hard work then and now
The Lifeway Adult Leader Guide plan for teaching Step 2 of the lesson, "Compassionate Action," suggests a discussion of hard work: then versus now. I'll facilitate that discussion in my class with a slide somewhat like the following one. However, the right hand column is not quite right. It needs to speak more directly to hard work, and working harder. Any suggestions?

Work now is more compartmented... productivity for some workers is volume related(i.e., piece work); for others, efficiency improvements(more product from less raw materials); still others, it is creativity (new ideas, ways of doing things)... One common thread today is the level of competitiveness - cradle-to-grave assurances for most of today's jobs is no longer a gurantee, or in most cases, a consideration.
These are good comments. How would you define Hard Work today?
