Most likely to succeed

Continuing my quest for question/picture slides to teach: "How to Be Successful," I will use the following slide to introduce Step 2. Note: I changed my mind and decided to use the "cup" slide to introduce Step 3. Now if I can just come up with an overall introductory slide, I'll have a plan.

For the "right model", I chose a picture of Jesus washing the disciples (Peter) feet, which I thought was a good example of modelling servitude.

I think that's a good idea to use on the slide where the verses for Step 2 are presented.

Theodore E. McCarrick
College of Cardinals

Theodore McCarrick graduated from Fordham Prep with the Class of 1949. While at the Prep, he made his mark as an orator and was voted Most Likely to Succeed by his classmates. Ordained a priest in 1958, Ted McCarrick has distinguished himself by service to God and his people. He has served as President of the Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Auxiliary Bishop of New York and Vicar of East Manhattan and the Harlems. Pope John Paul II named him the first bishop of the Metuchen diocese in New Jersey. In 2001, he was named Archbishop of Washington, D.C. and elevated to the College of Cardinals. Under his leadership, the Washington Archdiocese completed one of the most successful capital campaigns in U.S. diocesan history, supporting education, vocations and social service needs. He retired from the Washington Archdiocese in 2006 and now travels abroad extensively on behalf of Catholic Relief Services.
